SciMar: Terms of Sale & Licence

The app

SciMar is an Android application published by SL-Mar (France). The app is free to download and use for the daily digest and interest editing. SciMar Pro is a paid, optional unlock.

SciMar Pro licence

€19, one-time, a lifetime licence. Not a subscription; there is nothing to renew.
The purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence key that unlocks the Pro features (related papers, ask-a-paper, preset profiles) on your devices.
The key is tied to no account and is verified offline. Please don't share or publish it; a key that is redistributed may be revoked in a future release.
The licence covers the current SciMar app and its updates on this direct-distribution channel. It does not grant rights to the source code.

Payment & delivery

Payment is processed by Stripe. Your key is shown on the confirmation page immediately after purchase and emailed to the address you provide. Lost your key? Email [email protected] from the purchase address and we'll re-send it.

Refunds & right of withdrawal

Under EU consumer law you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. Because a Pro key is delivered immediately, checkout asks you to agree that supply begins at once and that the withdrawal right is thereby waived once the key is issued. Even so, if SciMar Pro doesn't work for you, contact us within 14 days and we will make it right, refund included, at our discretion.

No warranty; limitation of liability

SciMar is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. It ranks public research to help you read; it is not professional, engineering, or navigational advice, and you remain responsible for any decision you take. To the extent permitted by law, SL-Mar's total liability for the Pro purchase is limited to the amount you paid.
