Weekly Market Panel — Week 29, 2026BETA

Dry bulk & tanker markets and reported S&P activity, compiled from the free broker weeklies · week ending Friday 17 July 2026. Houses lag one another, so each card carries its own data-week tag.
Representative panel — what the reporting houses chose to publish, not complete market coverage.

Share of aircraft GPS reports flagged degraded within 150 km of each chokepoint over 7 days — deterministic counting of published hex data; no AI models touch the numbers. Aviation-observed: aircraft at altitude see interference over a radio horizon of hundreds of km — regional signal, not bridge-level reception; zones with little air traffic cannot be scored. About this panel — method & sources

Every week a number of shipbroking houses publish their market reports as free PDFs. This panel archives those reports as published, extracts the figures with deterministic parsers (no AI models touch the numbers), and cross-checks reported sale & purchase transactions between houses — a deal reported independently by two or more houses is flagged as corroborated. Only derived analytics are shown here; the underlying reports remain with their authors and are linked below. The panel is representative by construction: it reflects what the reporting houses chose to publish, which is not the whole market. Houses publish on their own cycles and lag one another — the small tag on each card states the ISO week its data actually covers, and the panel as a whole is labelled by its dry-indices report.

The panel refreshes automatically on Mondays and Thursdays (06:40 UTC). A new weekly page is created once the week's dry-indices report becomes available — typically on the Thursday run, reflecting the reporting houses' own publication cycles; the Monday run folds in reports posted over the weekend. Every run passes automated quality gates before anything is published, and each week keeps its own permanent page in the archive.

Observed at sea (AIS). Beside the reported market, the panel carries an observation layer computed from free terrestrial AIS (aisstream.io). Every AIS figure is produced by deterministic geometry and arithmetic over stored ship positions — point-in-polygon, line crossing, draught delta, counting; no AI models touch the numbers. Directly observed counts are labelled observed; the one inferred field (laden/ballast, from reported draught) is labelled estimated. Terrestrial reception is representative, not complete — each AIS card states the vessels and fix density behind it, and a week with inadequate coverage is withheld rather than published as a misleadingly low count.

GNSS interference (aviation-observed). Aircraft continuously broadcast their own GPS accuracy over ADS-B; GPSJAM.org aggregates those reports into daily hex maps. The panel counts, deterministically, the share of degraded reports near each chokepoint over the week. The signal is regional (aircraft radio horizon), not bridge-level reception, and a zone with little air traffic cannot be scored. Data: GPSJAM.org, aircraft data © ADS-B Exchange.
